Many contracts but no overview?

At some point, you signed contracts. Back then, it felt like a solution. But today? You don’t know whether the contracts still suit you, whether the price-performance ratio is right.

Because the advisors are long gone and everyone else would rather sell you something new.

As an independent insurance broker in Braunschweig, I do things differently.

No product catalog that secretly empties your pockets. No salesperson who disappears after the signature. And no fine print whose consequences you only understand in five years. Instead, someone who develops a financial strategy with you that fits your life – not their commission.

What are you interested in?

Do you want to set up your personal finances for the future?

Protection, retirement planning, wealth building, real estate financing: You don’t get a product catalog, but a plan that fits your life. And a contact person who wants to support you long-term and help you succeed.

Do you want to put your company on a financially solid footing?

Occupational pension schemes, company health insurance, corporate insurance, investments, financing: all with a dedicated contact person who keeps track of everything. Even when structures change.

I am Alexander Weißbrich, an independent financial advisor in Braunschweig.

After 15 years and over 1,000 clients I’ve supported, I know this: the best advice isn’t always the one where a client signs up for many new products. That’s why I’ve left commission-based business behind. Today, I work on a fee basis—as an independent insurance broker and point of contact for a complete financial system tailored individually to my clients. Together with a team of specialized partners.

You want to finally understand financial topics – and no longer have to trust blindly?

In my financial blog, I share my personal perspectives on retirement planning, protection, wealth building, and investing—explained in a clear and understandable way so you can keep track and make well-informed decisions that enable you to achieve greater financial freedom.
Before you ask:
Here are the answers.
What distinguishes a fee-based financial advisory service from a commission-based sale?
Quite simple: I don’t earn money from what you sign, but from actually helping you. With fee-based consulting, you pay directly for the time invested and the expertise provided. No product provider influencing my recommendation. No conflict of interest standing between you and an honest assessment. What you get is an analysis and advice tailored exclusively to your situation – not to my commission.
How much does a consultation with you cost—and when will I find that out?

The initial consultation is free, 30 to 60 minutes via video call. Afterwards, you will receive a transparent offer before you have to decide or sign anything. The costs depend on what you need: analysis and consulting for a fee or ongoing support.

By the way, my firm belief is that a fair, transparent, and value-creating service should not be a question of your bank balance. If you cannot currently afford financial advice, feel free to talk to me after receiving your offer, and we will find a solution – promised.

Do I have to buy new products in order to take advantage of your services?
No. This service offering is a separate component, independent of the sale of financial products and insurance. A three-tier service system gives you access to exclusive services regardless of whether you purchase a product. You choose the tier that best fits your life situation. Upon request, I can incorporate existing contracts with other advisors or brokers into my ongoing support. You don’t have to cancel anything or sign new agreements. Of course, a review of existing contracts can also be arranged within the service system.
Why are you not an officially certified fee-based financial investment advisor (according to §34h GewO) or an insurance advisor (according to §34d para. 2 GewO)?

Both registrations would represent a significant restriction on my ability to offer comprehensive advice and support to clients. Some noteworthy product categories are not available as a fee-based option (commission-free). In such matters, clients would also have to take care of their own support, as both professions have a strict ban on accepting commissions.

Whenever there is a reasonable option, I transparently waive the commission and instead charge the (almost always more beneficial for the client) fee. You will find out in the initial consultation and in my offer whether the fee model or (less often) the commission model is the more worthwhile option for you.

What happens if my existing contracts are actually good?
Then stay. I’ll take a look at what you have and tell you honestly what fits and what doesn’t. Anyone who is well set up will get that confirmed by me. Period. I don’t make money from you signing something new.
Do you also offer wealth advisory services?
Yes. Investment and wealth building, alongside insurance, are actually my core areas; for both private clients and companies. Anything I don’t handle myself, I take care of through specialized partners. You always have just one point of contact.
What happens if I have a claim or my situation changes?
Then I’m there. From the initial damage report through forms, photos, and proper communication with the insurance companies all the way to deadlines and appointments: you don’t have to handle anything on your own. The same applies when your life changes: a new job, a child, a salary increase, buying property. Anyone who chooses ongoing support receives regular check-ups so that we can respond before a problem even arises.
I don’t want to change everything right away. Can I just take a look at where I stand?
Yes. Because before anything is changed, canceled, or newly set up, we take a look at what you have. Which contracts are active, which of them make sense, which do not. And where there might be gaps that you’re not even aware of. My job is not to sell you new products. My job is to give you clarity about what you have and what you really need. Unfortunately, the two are not always the same.

The first step towards that is a conversation.
